Key Account Manager - North America

Lafert North America brings to market the finest in efficient IEC metric & NEMA compatible PM motors, along with other premium Italian made products, such as; Euromotori Flame proof motors, Sacemi Coolant Pumps and the SITI Gearboxes. Headquarters in Mississauga Ontario (just outside of Toronto) with distribution and warehousing across Canada and the USA, we have supplied IEC metric motors to Canada, the United States and Mexico since 1989. 

Lafert NA offers an extensive range of quality products combined with an outstanding service level. Replacing oddball foreign motors, that are sometimes costly to repair and difficult to source is one of Lafert North America’s specialties.

Position Description:

Develop and apply sales strategies to ensure continued growth in our key accounts business throughout North America. Maintain and grow existing key accounts by promoting, educating and selling the entire Lafert North America portfolio of products and services. Collaborate with an assigned team to provide optimum response to key customers while executing to achieve established sales and marketing plans.  Liaison with factories and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of products that meets and exceeds customer expectations. Build partnership with key Industrial distributors, OEMs and motor shops within, Canada and USA. Identify customer/partner needs, compile opportunities and build long-term relationships.  Travel is estimated to be 33%.

Specific Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Establishing and nurturing relationships with key customers and business partners to ensure mindshare and profitable growth
  • Turning opportunities and challenges into new business
  • Participating in sales and marketing activities, including line reviews and product and promotional sales initiatives
  • Managing assigned accounts, maintaining a sales pipeline and documenting in company CRM tool
  • Use knowledge of AC Motors, Gearboxes and Coolant Pumps to grow business with key accounts

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, Engineering Technologist or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years account management experience in AC Motors
  • Deep Technical knowledge of AC Motors and Gearboxes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solid presentation skills
  • Working knowledge of French and/or Spanish an asset
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a customer focused mentality
  • Ability to develop effective sales plans to ensure growth

Territory:

  • Based out of our Mississauga, Ontario location
  • Territory will cover Canada and USA
